Once you've chosen a masonry heater core, it's time to choose a material to wrap it in. Our masonry heater veneer kits are designed and built to the same standards and ease of assembly requirements as our heater cores, so you can rest assured you get the best product for your money. Our veneers are do-it-yourself friendly and a team of two can assemble one in a work day.
Asthetically, the veneer matches your heater with your home decor, making it fit into your home like a piece of furniture. Benches, shelves, and cast iron decorations can all be added in order to dress up your heater and make it fit into your home and life.
Practically, the veneer adds more mass to the heater, allowing the heater to store more heat and release it slowly over a number of hours. Different types of veneer have different heating characteristics, but generally, the thinner and lighter the veneer, the faster the heater surface will heat up and cool.
Traditionally, each veneer was created specifically for a given heater application in a given home and installed in a more or less one-off manner. Following the same model as our heater cores, we've developed a series of veneer kits in various materials. The parts in the kits all come pre-cut, so the do-it-yourselfer or contractor can quickly complete the veneer saving time and money, and without the need to source any additional materials.
We offer veneers which are finished, such as soapstone and granite, and also veneers to serve as a backing for other veneer materials, such as veneer stone or stucco.
We invite you to consider the area you want to heat, and look below for the masonry heater veneer kit which best fits your needs and heater core.
